Chapter Index

    “What’s that on your finger?”

    “This?”

When Lee Wooyeon lifted his pinky, showing the ring, Inseop froze. There had already been a small argument earlier at the entrance.

‘Aren’t you going to take off the ring?’

    ‘Why should I?’

Lee Wooyeon tilted his head as if he genuinely didn’t understand. Since receiving it in Hawaii, he hadn’t once removed the ring.

    ‘If the CEO says something…’

‘The CEO doesn’t care much about me.’

    ‘…Seems like he does.’

Inseop cautiously retorted, but Lee Wooyeon didn’t even pretend to listen. As he was about to put on his shoes and leave, Inseop held him back again.

    ‘What if there’s a problem?’

‘I’m just wearing a ring given to me by someone I like, what’s the problem?’

At the word “someone I like,” Inseop’s face flushed red. Watching him awkwardly try to hide his feelings while his long lashes quivered, Lee Wooyeon felt his lower half tighten. Forget dinner, he thought about just stripping Inseop’s pants and taking him right there, standing.

‘Still… just in case there’s a misunderstanding. Well, it’s not a misunderstanding, but… anyway, I don’t want you to get into trouble..’

Lee Wooyeon bent down and gave Inseop a peck on the lips.

‘This… You’re the one who gave it to me, right’

Inseop gazed at Lee Wooyeon’s face, which was so close to his, as if he were in a trance. You gave it to me to propose, right? Lee Wooyeon asked with their lips still lightly touching. His low voice seemed to reverberate through their contact, causing a tickling sensation deep inside Inseop, making him curl his toes.

    ‘Isn’t that right?’

Lee Wooyeon asked again as if confirming.

    ‘…Yes, it is.’

‘I still can’t believe someone like you would marry me.’

Inseop wanted to say, “Same here.” Even seeing him every morning and pinching himself, it still felt unbelievable.

‘At least the ring reminds me it’s not a dream…’

Lee Wooyeon licked Inseop’s lower lip with his tongue, then gently bit down before mumbling to himself,

‘How could I ever take it off?’

    ‘Wooyeon…’

Lee Wooyeon kissed the corner of Inseop’s eye.

‘If you really want it off, you’ll have to cut off my finger.’

Whispering the chilling words in the sweetest voice, Lee Wooyeon gave Inseop a few more kisses. In the end, unable to cut off Lee Wooyeon’s finger, Inseop left the house with him as he was.

“You were wearing it last time too. You’ve been wearing it for a long time.”

Manager Cha commented, as if surprised.

“Hmm. Have I worn it that long?”

Afraid that Lee Wooyeon might say something unnecessary, Inseop couldn’t even lift his head properly.

    “Does it look good?”

Instead of hiding it, Lee Wooyeon stretched out his hand proudly, showing off his finger.

…Ah, even if I couldn’t cut it off, I should’ve at least taken it off somehow.

Inseop broke out in a cold sweat, regretting it, but it was already too late. He wanted to change the subject, but his mind was blank, unable to come up with anything.

Lee Wooyeon, expressionless, wiggled his pinky and asked Inseop,

“The hanbok looked good, but does this not suit me?”

“Oh, it does suit you, but…”

“Which brand is it from? A special order? Let me see.”

CEO Kim, who had a particular interest in fashion, leaned in for a closer look, causing Inseop to flinch and shrink his shoulders.

    “It’s a one-of-a-kind ring.”

“Ah, so it’s vintage. Oh right, I was gifted a vintage bottle of wine recently…”

While CEO Kim boasted about his wine, Inseop discreetly tugged at Lee Wooyeon’s sleeve under the table, signaling him to hide his hand—or rather, the ring.

    Hide it, my ass.

Deliberately, Lee Wooyeon stretched out his ring-wearing hand to pick up a water bottle.

“Inseop, are you thirsty? Want some water?”

    “Oh, no.”

Startled, Inseop quickly looked away, avoiding his gaze.

A crooked smile appeared on Lee Wooyeon’s lips. He was even willing to announce on the 9 o’clock live news that Inseop had proposed to him. Inseop would probably faint from shock if he knew.

    “Would you like some water?”

Lee Wooyeon offered a bottle of water to CEO Kim as he asked. Inseop’s gaze anxiously followed Lee Wooyeon’s pinky. His long eyelashes seemed as though they would make a rustling sound with each blink.

All he eats is tasteless grass, so why is he so F*ck pretty?

Lee Wooyeon watched Inseop leisurely, his face expressionless.

    Just then, Inseop’s phone rang.

“Uh, excuse me, I need to, um, take this call outside for a moment.”

    “Not picking out the wine?”

“No, I don’t know much about it, so… I’ll leave it to you.”

Like a dog with its tail on fire, Inseop hurried out of the private room. As soon as the door closed, Lee Wooyeon finally let out the laughter he had been holding back.

    “Hahaha, seriously.”

“Do you enjoy it? Is it that fun?”

Annoyed by the display, CEO Kim couldn’t help but comment.

    “Yes. I love it.”

    Lee Wooyeon shamelessly replied.

“What do you love so much? Isn’t it about time to stop being so thrilled?”

    “True.”

    Lee Wooyeon laughed and continued,

“But why do I keep liking him more?”

He sounded as if he didn’t even know the reason himself.

“Just leave it. Must be because he’s kind.”

Manager Cha grumbled, and Lee Wooyeon tilted his head in confusion.

“Kind? If people fell in love just because someone’s kind, wouldn’t everyone be lusting after saints?”

    “……”

    “……”

Lee Wooyeon spoke blasphemous words with the most innocent expression possible.

“As I’ve said before, I like Inseop because he’s pretty. Of course, he’s kind too.”

At Lee Wooyeon’s answer, the two middle-aged men’s faces darkened.

“Why is he so attractive every time we do it? Maybe it’s because I didn’t expect that from him.”

    “Shut up. Shut up.”

    Lee Wooyeon smirked.

“Of course, there’s another reason. As you both know, Inseop is really good at…”

    “Ack…!”

    “Ugh…!”

Both men choked at the same time, starting to cough and pat each other on the back. Watching the two middle-aged men in distress, Lee Wooyeon leisurely continued his vulgar comments.

“Every time I f*ck him, he cries with that incredibly pretty face, squeezing down hard…”

“Ahhh! My ears are burning! Stop, stop!”

    “I didn’t hear anything. I didn’t hear a thing.”

The two middle-aged men covered their ears in disgust. Lee Wooyeon laughed and pressed the call bell. After the waiter left with their wine order, Lee Wooyeon continued talking.

“Surely you didn’t call me here to hear why I like him, right?”

“No. I called you here to work.”

    CEO Kim responded quickly.

    “I’m working diligently.”

“Not that kind of work. The project. You promised to take on a new project.”

    “Me? When?”

Lee Wooyeon looked as if this was news to him.

“When I rearranged your vacation schedule in Hawaii! You promised!”

Since returning from Hawaii, Lee Wooyeon had been in an unusually good mood. He did everything asked of him—filming commercials and even giving interviews. Even Manager Cha mentioned that if Lee Wooyeon stayed like this, he could work endlessly. The problem was that, no matter how many scripts were sent, he hadn’t chosen his next project.

    “Did I? I don’t remember.”

“I knew you’d pull this, so I recorded the call!”

CEO Kim proudly placed his phone on the table.

“Oh, that. I said I’d think about it, not that I’d do it.”

    “What?”

“If you don’t believe me, go ahead and listen.”

CEO Kim hurriedly played the recording. His face darkened more and more as it played.

“Your memory is bad, but your comprehension too? What will we do?”

Lee Wooyeon spoke as if genuinely concerned, causing veins to bulge on CEO Kim’s forehead. Manager Cha silently filled a glass with water and handed it to him. CEO Kim pulled some pills from his pocket, tossed them into his mouth, and drank the water.

“Oh dear, is your health not good either?”

    “You…!”
