Chapter Index

    <John.>

When Inseop’s voice was heard on the screen, the cat hiding in the corner meowed softly. Lee Wooyeon moved his camera to that direction and focused on it.

<John. Why aren’t you eating? He said you went to the hospital yesterday.>

The cat let out a long meowing sound. Inseop’s expression crumpled. He had a face that looked like he was going to cry at any moment if left as is.

Lee Wooyeon stretched out his hand and snatched up the cat hiding in the corner and showed it to Inseop. As soon as he saw the cat, Inseop’s expression softened.

<I’m coming tomorrow, okay? I’m definitely coming tomorrow, so you need to eat well.>

Inseop continued speaking softly, as if comforting a crying child.

<I’ll definitely come tomorrow, so don’t worry and eat well. Okay?>

As if it understood Inseop’s words, the cat let out a short meow.

<I’m not going anywhere. I’m never going away, so you don’t have to worry. I will never leave you and go.>

Even though he knew that he was speaking to the cat, Lee Wooyeon felt his sharp anxiety loosening for a moment. And he realized that’s what he wanted to hear.

    A bitter smile appeared.

It’s on the same level as a cat. He felt like he couldn’t be miserable anymore.

<Thank you, Wooyeon. Thank you so much for your concerns about John.>

As Lee Wooyeon said his special words, he dropped the cat on the floor. As he watched him stumble and fall sideways, unable to land properly due to his legs, he thought he must have had an accident like that yesterday too.

    <Mr. Wooyeon.>

    Inseop called Lee Wooyeon.

    “Yes.”

    <… … .>

When Inseop called but didn’t say anything, Lee Wooyeon tilted his head.

“Why did you call me but not talk to me?”

    <… I like it.>

Inseop muttered with his eyes half closed, as if he was embarrassed.

<When I saw Wooyeon’s face, strangely enough, I wanted to see you more.>

“…Should I go to Jeju Island now?”

Inseop was surprised by what Lee Wooyeon muttered absentmindedly. He asked back, ‘what?’

    “Just a joke.”

    Lee Wooyeon smiled.

    “So come quickly.”

<I understand. I will come right after seeing my parents off tomorrow.>

    “Then see you tomorrow.”

Lee Wooyeon hung up the phone. And when he checked the last boat and plane flight to Jeju Island, he cursed and said, “F**k.”

The startled cat froze in place as if it had broken down, looked up at Lee Wooyeon, and then quickly hid itself in a corner.

When the front door opened, Inseop came in, pushing a suitcase.

    “Welcome.”

Lee Wooyeon took his bag and put it down on the floor.

    “I’m here….”

Before Inseop could finish his greeting, Lee Wooyeon covered his mouth. His hugged waist was pressed tightly into the man’s strong embrace. While standing at the front door, Lee Wooyeon s**ked his lips persistently. Lee Wooyeon did not back down until Inseop started to pat him on the back because he was out of breath.

Their chaotic breathing touched each other’s lips. As if s**king like that wasn’t enough, Lee Wooyeon lightly touched and l**ked Inseop’s lips a few more times.

    “How was Jeju Island?”

Inseop took pictures of Jeju Island whenever he had time. In his eyes, the scenes were all over the place and uninspiring, but Lee Wooyeon gave him the right amount of appreciation every time.

It must have been nice, it’s cool, it’s a place that makes you feel comfortable just looking at it, it looks like a place Inseop would like, etc.

    “It was good.”

Inseop answered. “Thank goodness,” Lee Wooyeon muttered as he ran his palm over Inseop’s back. Even though it was an odd combination of travel members, it was okay as long as Inseop had a good time.

“So I kept thinking about Lee Wooyeon.”

Inseop wrapped his arms around Lee Wooyeon’s back.

“…Every time I saw a nice place, I thought it would be nice to come there with Mr. Wooyeon. I just kept thinking about that. And then later…”

Inseop looked up at Lee Wooyeon. The smiling black eyes reflected his heart without any hesitation. Inseop continued speaking in a low voice. He wanted to go home, he said.

Lee Wooyeon held his breath for a moment at the word home.

With that one word, he feels like he has finally found his place after wandering around as an outsider his whole life. It was his first time. He felt like he belonged to someone.

    “Welcome home.”

Lee Wooyeon said the same thing once more and hugged Inseop deeply.

“They said this is a cutlassfish. It’s really big, right?”

Inseop asked while showing a picture of the food he ate.

“I see. Did it taste good?”

“Yes. My mother liked it. My aunt also liked it. My father and uncle drank too much here, so I drove.”

The two men in the photo were drunk and laughing.

“This is columnar jointing, and the stones are carved into hexagonal shapes. I took a picture of it because it was fascinating… but isn’t it fun?”

Inseop looked back at Lee Wooyeon and asked. Lee Wooyeon rested his chin on Inseop’s shoulder from behind and replied, “It’s fun.”

The two had s*x to the fullest on Inseop’s bed. After sleeping until midday, they started looking at the photos Inseop had taken on Jeju Island together.

    “Did anything interesting happen?”

At Lee Wooyeon’s question, Inseop thinks, “Hmm.” Then, his eyes sparkled and he nodded.

“The city where Aaron is studying abroad is not far from the graduate school that Yoom Areum is attending. I told her that if she had any difficulties in her life, she could contact my brother for help, and the two of them met and had a meal.”

    “Ah.”

Lee Wooyeon responded as best as she could. Inseop continued giggling to himself as to what was so funny.

“But Aaron seemed to have fallen in love with Yoon Areum at first sight. Even after he returned to the dormitory, he kept thinking about her and asked to go see her again the next day and date her.”

    “So they’re dating?”

Lee Wooyeon asked, thinking that if the two families were united as a family, it would end like Disney.

“No. Yoon Areum refused. She said he wasn’t her type.”

    “Hahaha. That’s funny.”

Upon hearing the news that he was dumped like a thorn in her eyes, Lee Wooyeon burst out laughing.

“So, I guess Aaron takes the train every week to the city where Yoon Areum is. I didn’t know he could like someone like that. He’s never been interested in dating before. He only likes computers and machines. Really. It’s cool.”

    “I know.”

Lee Wooyeon muttered, looking down at Inseop, who was talking excitedly about his younger brother’s late love story. His flushed cheeks were full of his lovely vitality, as if juice would flow out when he takes a bite. He thought he’d seen enough to get sick of it, but the more he looked at him, the prettier he got. It was an amazing thing.

    “Hey, you know.”

Inseop hesitated, looking at Lee Wooyeon’s eyes. He blinked as if asking him to speak.

    “I brought you a souvenir.”

    “What.”

He became curious and wondered where he got the money to buy such trash. Inseop quickly got up, searched through his bag, and brought out a small box.

    “Can I open it?”

Lee Wooyeon asked. Inseop nodded his head and said yes.

There was a small stone inside the box.

“It’s a stone that brings good luck.”

Only then did Lee Wooyeon realize that Inseop was playing a prank on him. In the past, he had used an unexpected lucky stone to annoy Inseop.

“How do I receive this precious thing?”

    “Don’t lose it this time.”

Inseop laughed out loud and lay down on the bed again.

“Would you like me to show you another picture?”

Inseop asked, holding out his cell phone. Instead of answering, Lee Wooyeon snatched the cell phone from Inseop’s hand, held it up in the air, and took a selfie of the two of them.

Inseop was startled by the clicking sound and snatched his cell phone. The two people on the bed were n**ed.

    Inseop quickly deleted his photo.

“Why are you deleting it? It’s such a waste.”

“If you take a picture like this, you’ll be in big trouble.”

“What’s the big deal? There hasn’t been a single proper photo of the two of us, so there should be something like this.”

When Inseop found the picture frame that the cat had smashed, he looked very disappointed. When Lee Wooyeon told him to put another photo in the new frame, Inseop only smiled vaguely, saying, “I don’t have anything suitable.”

    “…Still, this can’t happen.”

Lee Wooyeon rubbed his chin on Inseop’s shoulder.

“I don’t mind if I film a s*x video with you and put it on the screen at Gwanghwamun intersection.”

Inseop shook his head. Lee Wooyeon got angry and bit Inseop’s shoulder with his teeth. Teeth marks were quickly engraved on the soft skin. He took a mouthful and l**ked it with his tongue. Inseop said, “Ah,” and trembled slightly. The faint sound made his stomach ache so hard.

Lee Wooyeon hugged Inseop as if climbing on his body.

“…Are you going to do it again?”

Inseop asked with a little fright in his eyes. Lee Wooyeon did not respond, but slowly rubbed his d**k between Inseop’s b**tocks. The liquid that flowed from his w** tip moistened Inseop’s tender hole.

The hole that had been bitten and s**ked opened gently without much effort. The moment when Lee Wooyeon strengthened his arms and tried to lift his waist.

    “Nyaang.”

They heard a cat meowing outside the door. When Inseop was startled and tried to get up, Lee Wooyeon pushed him down on his waist and made him lie down again, grabbed his d**k and put it into Inseop’s hole.

    “Nyaaa, nyaaaa, nyaaang.”

However, without giving him time to insert it, the cat kept meowing outside the door. Inseop, who was crushed by Lee Wooyeon’s solid body, looked restlessly at the door. Lee Wooyeon clicked his tongue and moved his body out of the way.

    “…I’ll take a quick look.”

As soon as he got home, he was so busy spending time with Lee Wooyeon that he couldn’t even say hello to the cat properly.

    “Please.”

Inseop quickly got up and opened the door, wearing only his underwear and a T-shirt.

When the cat that was waiting crouched in front of the door found Inseop, he meowed and hovered near his feet. Inseop picked up the cat.

    “Sorry.”

    Inseop apologized to the cat.

“You’ve waited a long time. From now on, I won’t go anywhere without you.”

Inseop held the small bundle of fur in his arms and hugged it affectionately. Only then did the cat purr and close its eyes, as if relieved. Inseop continued to rub the cat’s forehead with one hand.

Watching the love affair that didn’t seem to end anytime soon, Lee Wooyeon slowly got up from the bed and put on his drawers.

“Do you like it that much?”

Inseop smiled and nodded his head.

“It’s my first time raising a cat, and it’s so cute. Although there are times when I’m confused because it’s so different from a dog.”

The eyes looking at the small creature were full of warm affection. It was a feeling he couldn’t understand. Lee Wooyeon looked at Inseop blankly.

“John is naturally weak, but he was seriously injured at the time, so I thought he wouldn’t live as long as other cats.”

Inseop carefully stroked the cat’s leg, which had long scars.

“So, until then, I’ll continue living with him.”

Choi Inseop will never abandon his cat and disappear. It was clear that he would love and cherish it with all his heart until his death.

Lee Wooyeon asked, touching Inseop’s disheveled hair.

“Did the accident hurt his legs?”

He vaguely remembered hearing the story at the time, but he forgot it because he wasn’t paying attention.

    “The landlord’s son… hurt him.”

Inseop answered while touching the cat’s leg.

    “Don’t you want revenge?”

    “I want to. But….”

Inseop sighs softly. He came up with one way or another of revenge, but in the end his heart was weak and he must have given up.

“The leg costs 5 million won.”

    “Yes?”

Inseop did not understand right away and asked back.

    “Five hundred per leg.”

    “…….”

Only then did Inseop understand what Lee Wooyeon meant, and his expression turned pale.

    “I’m joking.”

Lee Wooyeon’s eyes curved. Even the crescent moon in the middle of the night could not draw such an elegant curve.

“Five hundred on one side and three hundred on one side.”

    “Well, you can’t do that.”

Lee Wooyeon stood at an angle with his arms crossed and smiled.

“Haha. Since you keep fooling me like that, I keep making fun of you.”

    “…don’t joke like that.”

Lee Wooyeon said, “I understand,” and hugged Inseop’s back, leaning his head forward and kissing him. The cat escaped Inseop’s arms and landed on the floor. Lee Wooyeon smiled as he watched the quick-witted cat, who stumbled and fell, got back up and went outside. Of course, what he said earlier was a joke. He didn’t even need three hundred. Because one piece of wood is enough.

Lee Wooyeon took off Inseop’s loose t-shirt and felt the teeth marks on his delicate skin with his hand. Every time his long hand brushed his skin, his body trembled slightly. Inseop’s eyes quickly turned red.

“…I’ll take back what I said earlier.”

Lee Wooyeon kissed Inseop’s eyes and whispered as if he were possessed.

“F**k, you’re so pretty, I don’t think I can show it to anyone.”

A breath that collapsed like a sigh reached Inseop. The bodies of the two people who fell on the bed were quickly tangled together.

    “Wait a minute, Mr. Inseop.”

Lee Wooyeon grabbed Inseop who was just about to leave the house.

“Can you give me a moment?”

Inseop checked his watch. He always finished his preparations ahead of the lecture time, so he had some time to spare.

    “Yes. What’s going on?”

Before Lee Wooyeon could answer Inseop’s question, the sound of a car was heard outside.

“I guess you’re here. Let’s go out together.”

Lee Wooyeon dragged Inseop out the front door. CEO Kim got out of the car holding a large camera and frowning.

    “Hey, you….”

After patiently swallowing the words he couldn’t bear to pour out, CEO Kim lowered his sunglasses and spoke softly.

“Keep your promise. It’s just one advertisement.”

    “I know.”

    “All right.”

Not knowing what the situation was, Inseop just looked at the two people in turn.

“I have a photo shoot today, and since it’s been a while, I’m going to test the camera. I’m going to take photos with a natural feel, so can you watch from the side?”

    “All right.”

Inseop readily accepted and took a few steps to the side.

    “…take a picture.”

CEO Kim sat down with one knee on the floor, picked up the camera, and started filming. Lee Wooyeon, dressed in plain clothes, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, naturally stood and smiled.

    “Great.”

    Inseop shouted from the side.

    “It’s natural and good.”

CEO Kim pressed the shutter a few more times with the most indifferent expression in the world.

    “Mr. Inseop.”

Lee Wooyeon snapped his finger at Inseop.

    “Come here for a moment.”

Inseop rushed to Lee Wooyeon’s side. Lee Wooyeon wrapped his arm around Inseop’s shoulder.

    “Let’s take a picture together.”

    “What?”

Inseop was startled and turned around.

    “Camera test. Look over there.”

Lee Wooyeon pointed to the large camera in CEO Kim’s hand.

“Can’t I just not take pictures?”

“I’m taking pictures with other models, so I need to practice.”

Lee Wooyeon hinted to CEO Kim to take a picture quickly.

“Then I’ll take pictures for you, so practice with the CEO… Ugh!”

Inseop stepped back and pressed the wrong button, causing the sprinkler to activate. The two people were drenched without even being able to do anything as the water poured out with a slurping sound.

CEO Kim did not miss the opportunity and quickly pressed the shutter. His only intention was to leave Lee Wooyeon’s water-soaked picture as his material.

    It was then.

    “Ahahahaha.”

Lee Wooyeon burst into laughter. What was so funny about being soaked from head to toe, he couldn’t stop laughing. Like a mischievous boy who succeeded in a prank, he laughed like that for a long time. Inseop, who was clutching his clothes with an embarrassed expression, eventually burst into laughter.

    Click.

CEO Kim twitched his fingers at the sound of the shutter he had pressed without realizing it.

    Churrrrrrrrrr, churrrrrrut, churrrrrrut.

The sound of sprinklers running filled the deep green garden.

    It was a perfect summer.

A few days later, Inseop found a small box on his desk.

    “What’s this?”

He tilted his head and opened the box to find a note and a small picture frame inside.

    Inseop unfolded the paper.

    Keep a memory green.

Lee Wooyeon’s elegant handwriting conveyed a message. The frame contained a photo. In the photo, Lee Wooyeon is drenched in water and smiling innocently like a boy, and he himself laughed when he saw him like that.

Don’t forget it and remember it.

Lee Wooyeon’s message brought back the memories of that day.

He could never forget any moment.

It will not be a time chosen by mistake or intention, but of his own will.

Inseop placed the frame he received from Lee Wooyeon in the middle of his desk.
