No Confession Between Friends

Yuwon suddenly starts feeling heart-fluttering emotions toward his childhood friend of 18 years, Hyun Gyujin. Unable to believe that he has fallen for Gyujin, who is practically family, Yuwon tries to sort out his feelings on his own. However, every time he sees Hyun Gyujin taking care of him by his side while worrying about his weak body, his feelings of love only grow larger, until he finally resorts to avoiding Gyujin as a last resort.

“I had a hunch, but still.”

“…”

“Jeong Yuwon, you like me, don’t you?”

“…I’m sorry.”

“For what.”

“…It must feel gross to you. And absurd….”

In the end, having his feelings exposed, Yuwon despairs, thinking that even their friendship will break apart, but….

“Shall we date?”

Contrary to Yuwon’s worries, Hyun Gyujin asks him out far too easily. Over a single night, the two go from being childhood friends to bearing the title of lovers.

“I told you to be careful so we wouldn’t get caught….”

“What on earth are you walking on eggshells for, and what do you want me to be careful about?”

However, romance with a childhood friend, which he thought would only be sweet, is not as easy as he expected.

Top (Gong): Hyun Gyujin (18)

Upon finding out that his childhood friend Yuwon—whom he has been friends with since before they were born—has fallen for him, he starts dating him far too easily. Driven by a sense of duty to protect Yuwon, who has weak health and is so cute and pretty that he easily attracts perverts, adding romantic feelings on top of that leaves him with nothing else in sight but love. He is so happy dating Yuwon that he can’t bear not expressing it, but he feels hurt when Yuwon keeps drawing lines and being overly cautious. In the end, their short relationship comes to an end, and he becomes distant from Yuwon in an ambiguous relationship that is neither friends nor lovers. He thinks he must somehow restore even their friendship, but his lingering attachment and feelings toward Yuwon—which haven’t vanished in the slightest—keep digging into his heart, causing Hyun Gyujin’s composure to lose its way.

Having lost both titles of friend and lover, he tries to sort out his feelings because he doesn’t want to get hurt anymore, but he still likes Hyun Gyujin, who asks to become friends again. With a heart that can never become just a friend.
