Light leaked through the gap in the curtain and flickered over Joo Hawon’s closed eyes. It did not feel like he had slept on a proper pillow, the sensation against his pressed head was hard. For a brief moment, he felt dazed, as though he had just woken up in Jahan’s old house. Only after seeing the man asleep right in front of him did he realize it had been a dream.

Kwon Taeha, who had given him an arm pillow, breathed evenly in his sleep. Even with the light pouring in, he slept so soundly. He must have been that exhausted. Hawon glanced up at the wall clock; it was a little past nine. He remembered leaving the two brothers behind and going into the room last night, but he had no idea when Taeha had come in. Not wanting to wake him, Hawon just quietly looked at him.

When he thought he was really dying, the first person who came to mind was him, and even at the very last, it was him he thought of.

At times, he wondered if he was already dead and simply dreaming. Each time, he pressed down on the spot where his lungs were. Today too, the sharp sting of pain made him aware this was reality.

    “…What’s wrong?”

Even though Joo Hawon had only let out the faintest groan, Kwon Taeha opened his eyes. His bluish-gray eyes, reflecting the light, were deep.

    “Did I wake you?”

    “No.”

Answering, Kwon Taeha brushed from Hawon’s cheek up to the side of his head. He sat up on the bed, bowing his head for a while as if to shake off sleep, then soon rose from his seat. Hawon also pushed himself up, leaning his back against the bed’s headboard.

“Where do you want to go?”

    “Where are we going?”

Still not fully awake, Hawon asked back.

“I’ve got three days off. Don’t you have anywhere you’d like to go?”

    “…Not really.”

“Then should we just stay home?”

Since he could not think of any place he wanted to go, Hawon nodded.

    “You’re lewd.”

Without warning, Taeha slipped his hand inside Hawon’s robe. He rolled the still-soft nipples in his palm.

    “Who’s lewd…?”

Muttering, since it was too much so early in the morning, Hawon saw Taeha glance up at the clock.

“We slept away too much time.”

Pulling off the blanket Hawon had draped over himself, he stripped away the robe as well, then sucked on the nipples that had started to stiffen.

His hand slipped down to the briefs and wrapped around his p**is. Already half-erect from the morning, it swelled further in Taeha’s grip. Hawon lowered his own hand and touched Taeha. He felt the veins along the taut shaft.

They pressed their lips together as they rubbed against each other. Perhaps because he had just woken, Hawon’s body felt languid, every touch making him tingle.

    “Haa…”

With drowsy eyes, he followed Taeha’s lips and faintly frowned. Though it was only light petting, holding and rubbing each other’s arousal, his hole twitched. Hawon too had the desire for penetration, but Taeha’s large hand, tightly gripping his shaft, replaced that urge.

As their burning erections tangled together, heat surged in his lower body. The tip of his p**is brushed against Taeha’s pubic hair, lighter than most Asians. Hawon stroked what he himself did not have. That only excited Taeha further, and he kissed Hawon’s lips, parted in a daze.

    “Envious?”

It was a question tinged with laughter.

    “…Yes.”

Surprisingly honest, Hawon confessed, gripping Taeha’s shaft even tighter. Sometimes, stripped bare, Hawon’s body seemed defenseless, almost childlike in its purity despite being an adult.

“Don’t be envious. I get turned on by your smooth skin.”

    “Ah!”

Suddenly, Taeha covered Hawon’s hand that was holding both their shafts. Gripping tight, he pumped as if he were mast**bating, and Hawon let out a moan of pleasure at the immense pressure and friction. Watching Hawon’s face flush, Taeha moved his hand faster. They climaxed at the same time.

Their mingled s*men dripped from both their hands. Some slid down past the scrotum and seeped into the still-twitching entrance left gaping from yesterday, making Hawon’s shoulders shudder. Taeha pulled tissues and wiped both his and Hawon’s hands.

“…Aren’t you going to put it in?”

Catching his breath, Hawon asked. Despite the prompting, Taeha simply closed Hawon’s robe for him again.

“Who told you to say such dirty things.”

Wrapping his arm around Hawon’s waist, Taeha continued.

    “Let’s shower.”

    ***

Kwon Taeha watched Joo Hawon tapping away on his phone.

Although he had gotten three days off, he still had to devote about three hours a day to paperwork, so Hawon spent his time on his own until Taeha’s schedule ended.

“Do you have that many people to talk to?”

At his words, Hawon replied shortly, “Jahan.”

“How’s that monkey doing with his studies?”

    “Seems like he’s doing fine.”

Spinning his pen once in his hand, Taeha threw out a line.

“Do you want to study too?”

Hawon lowered his phone. He wondered why that question suddenly came up.

“No, it’s too late now anyway.”

Hawon said he had a middle school diploma, but on paper his education was only listed as a dropout. Education itself might not matter much, but learning when given the chance was better than not learning for lack of opportunity. Of course, being able to speak nearly three languages, he had no trouble living.

Brr, brr. Again, his phone buzzed. Seeing a message from Jahan, Hawon tapped the screen lightly to reply.

    “What about getting a GED?”

“If I do that, I’d rather take it in Korea.”

    “Then take it here.”

In truth, if the chance came, Hawon wanted to at least get his equivalency diploma. He just had never had the opportunity.

“If I get my high school diploma, I’ll have to go to the army.”

“What’s a Macau citizen doing worrying about the Korean military?”

Hawon thought this German knew all sorts of unnecessary things.

“I’m planning to naturalize back to Korea.”

Closing his laptop, Taeha stared across at him.

“Joo Hawon. I wasn’t joking back then.”

    “About what?”

    “Partnership.”

    “…”

    “Naturalize to Germany.”

    “…I don’t want to.”

Whenever he gave a negative answer, Hawon’s tone always turned stiff.

“I’m not telling you to go jumping for joy, but what kind of reaction is this?”

At Kwon Taeha’s sharpened tone, Joo Hawon lifted his head as if unwilling to back down. Honestly, Hawon had thought Taeha’s words were only an excuse spoken in front of the stakeholders so he could smoothly hand over the proxy for attending the shareholders’ meeting.

A loud yawn split between them. It was Kwon Jaehee.

Although he had been in the living room for a while, Kwon Jaehee had been searching for the right moment to interrupt the tense clash between the two. When Hawon fell silent for a moment, he decided that was the timing, stretching deliberately as he walked. If he had known it would be like this, he regretted not going to sleep at a hotel.

    “Are you awake?”

    “Did you sleep well?”

    “Yes.”

“But didn’t you hear something hot and heavy this morning?”

Hawon flinched briefly before changing his expression.

    “Did I?”

Seeing him ask back so calmly, Jaehee thought as expected, he was not ordinary.

“It was on the TV in the guest room. I was lonely being alone, so I watched some dirty videos.”

Kwon Jaehee was a bit more mischievous than Kwon Taeha.

“Taeha, I’ll stop by the studio today and come right back.”

It was his way of saying he would not interfere further.

“That’s music to my ears. In front of me, I only hear nasty words.”

Pretending not to hear, Hawon fiddled with his phone.

“If you know a good tutor, connect me to one.”

    “For who?”

    “For someone reliable.”

    “Hmm, I’ll look into it.”

Without even asking for Hawon’s opinion, Taeha tried to proceed, but Hawon kept silent. If possible, he hoped for deeper learning.

He liked reading books, and back in school, he had been something of an honors student. Considering his age, he wondered if it was too late, but since it was not about going to school again, he thought it might be fine.

“But why? Is there someone you want to tutor?”

With just a tilt of his head, Taeha pointed at Hawon.

    “A bright talent.”

“Well, you never gave Mailer a glance.”

“I can’t make him my secretary.”

“So you plan to dote on Mr. Hawon, carry him around tucked under your arm, my dear Taeha?”

Hawon could not follow the conversation as it quickly darted over topics he did not know. He was not sure who Mailer was, though he suspected the “bright talent” meant him.

    “Think about Mailer too.”

    “I won’t change my mind.”

“He’s really smart and diligent. Promising future.”

“There’s a promising one right here. Smart and…”

Taeha trailed off. Jaehee, who thought quite favorably of Mailer Kwon, hoped to bring him into STA someday. To promote Mailer, he pressed Taeha to finish his words.

    “And?”

    “A sexy secretary.”

Taeha’s bluish-gray eyes, pointing at Hawon, turned more suggestive.
