by mimiWhat on earth are they talking about? Questioning the words spat out by several of them at once, Sunyul immediately used a skill.
[Using the skill ‘Magic Marksman’.]
Hundreds of magic bullets flew toward the monsters all at once as if they wouldn’t go easy on them. Fortunately, the monsters hit by the noisy bombardment didn’t seem to have much defense, as they collapsed into the sea while splattering dark blue bodily fluids.
They weren’t particularly great monsters. Of course, they only weren’t great monsters based on Sunyul’s standards; to others, they were quite strong.
Sunyul immediately supported the others and struck down all the remaining monsters.
As Sunyul stepped onto the sandy beach, the group leader approached with a serious face.
“Mr. Sunyul, something is strange.”
“What is it?”
“I’ve cleared this place several times, but I’ve never seen a monster like that.”
“……Really?”
Indeed, if monsters that camouflaged themselves as fish to ambush people appeared, they would have been told in advance. They definitely wouldn’t have left that out.
The monsters that appear in a dungeon are fixed. So where did these monsters spring from? And such unpleasant ones at that…….
“For now, we’ve collected samples on our end, but……. Just be aware. That things are a bit strange.”
Sunyul nodded. He was curious about what on earth was going on, but… the more urgent matter was the state of the attack force.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. There seemed to be a few people who, like Sunyul, had approached the monsters, but thanks to the [Blessing of Protection] Sunyul had cast before entering the water, they apparently avoided fatal wounds.
“If it weren’t for Mr. Sunyul, I’d be buried at sea by now.”
“Seriously, don’t say such horrific things.”
One Hunter who had barely survived was smirking when he got smacked by a healer. He had just received a diagnosis that it would be best to recuperate today because he had been hit head-on by a monster.
“I’ll work hard so I can use even sturdier skills.”
“Hey, they’re already strong enough! It’s plenty.”
The Hunter gave a big thumbs up. Sunyul smiled at him.
Since an anomaly had occurred, this fact had to be shared with the other attack groups. Leaving the people being treated behind, Sunyul stood next to the group leader, who was using an emergency contact item.
The contact item looked like an old-fashioned cell phone with separate buttons for typing. The leader pressed the buttons to write text and sent a message.
[Team A] Discovered monsters never seen before. They lure you with fish-shaped bodies and then ambush. Be careful.
“When will the answer come?”
“They’ll send it once they check. It should be soon…….”
No sooner had the words left his mouth than a message arrived.
[Team B] Any casualties?
[Team A] No serious injuries.
[Team B] The Guild Leader is asking if Lim Sunyul is okay..
The leader glanced back at Sunyul. He felt… embarrassed by the leader’s warm gaze.
[Team A] He’s fine. Not a single scratch. He played a big role.
Sunyul barely managed to stop the leader from trying to send further praise. Fortunately, Muyoung didn’t ask anything more about Sunyul.
It seemed that strange monsters hadn’t appeared over there. However, they heard that they would exercise sufficient caution, and after Sunyul passed on a request to definitely be careful, the conversation ended.
“Then shall we carefully set off again!”
The leader shouted toward the members of the attack force, who were somewhat tense. No one said it, but they searched the dungeon in a tightly strained atmosphere.
Fortunately, no more strange monsters appeared after that. Only the ordinary monsters they had encountered before showed up.
They also caught one fish normally. Sunyul was disappointed, wondering if the pace was slow, but the leader comforted him, saying that catching about one fish a day was the average speed.
Fishing was a failure. There were quite a few people who caught ordinary fish instead of the target fish, but nothing was caught on Sunyul’s fishing rod.
Sunyul realized that he had no talent for fishing…….
The team catching fish arrived at the base camp before the other teams. As soon as they arrived, Sunyul grabbed Saebyeok and pulled him into a corner. Saebyeok followed Sunyul with a smiling face.
“You’re enthusiastic, my contractor.”
“Do you know something?”
“About what?”
“What those monsters said… they said something was coming.”
“I guess something is coming?”
Sunyul became certain after seeing that ambiguous reaction.
“You know, don’t you.”
“Why do you think that?”
“Because I think you would have said you didn’t know if you actually didn’t.”
“Hmm.”
At Sunyul’s words, Saebyeok smiled meaningfully.
“It’s true that something is coming.”
Saebyeok whispered in a very small voice. Sunyul brought his ear close to hear Saebyeok’s voice better. Saebyeok laughed lowly and wrapped an arm around Sunyul’s waist.
“Something extremely dangerous is coming.”
“What is the extremely dangerous thing?”
“Even if you knew, you wouldn’t be able to respond to it.”
“I’m asking what it is!”
Saebyeok laughed and then blew a breath into Sunyul’s ear. Sunyul, who was shuddering and wondering what he was doing, stiffened up. Muyoung was approaching this way with cold eyes.
[‘The Traveler of Eternal Night’ says that Kwon Muyoung was approaching.]
Sunyul glared at Saebyeok.
‘You stupid idiot, you tricked me!’
[‘The Traveler of Eternal Night’ says the one who is tricked is the fool.]
Saebyeok let out a laugh, glanced at Muyoung, and then turned around and left just like that. Sunyul gave an awkward smile to Muyoung.
“Is everything finished on your end?”
“You seem to be free. You.”
“Yu-Yoon Saebyeok was just playing a weird prank.”
“You’ve become quite close.”
“…….”
Should he have called him awkwardly?
Muyoung let out a sigh and approached Sunyul. Then, he pulled Sunyul into an embrace and licked the ear where Saebyeok had blown a breath a moment ago. Sunyul’s body flinched.
“Nngh…….”
Muyoung’s tongue delved inside his ear. Sunyul unintentionally gasped, sucking in a breath. Only after a squelching sound swept through his ear did he slowly pull away.
Muyoung softly kissed the cheek of the completely frozen Sunyul and stepped back.
“Come to my tent tonight.”
“……Ye-yes.”
Sunyul nodded his head, tightly tensed. Even after Muyoung left, Sunyul remained frozen for a long while.

Night fell, and Sunyul used a skill around the tents.
[Using the skill ‘Sanctuary Declaration’.]
Even though it was a fairly large camp, a protective shield spread out, generously surrounding the area. A few Hunters who had gathered to watch that marveled.
“Wow. It looks incredibly sturdy.”
“You’re amazing. So this lasts until morning?”
“Yes. Unless something happens, it will stay maintained throughout.”
As a result of testing it in various ways, Sunyul’s sanctuary lasted quite a while against Bada or Dakyung’s S-class skills, and when left alone, it was maintained for up to twelve hours.
He was told that the original [Sanctuary Declaration] wasn’t to this extent. He also heard that his skill performance had overall increased as he became EX-class.
Because it was installed in a set area, it was difficult to utilize in battle, but if it were just for simple defense, it was more powerful than any other skill.
“The burden of standing night watch will be reduced a bit. Thank you, Mr. Sunyul.”
“Don’t mention it. It’s nothing.”
“Now go in and rest. Leave the watch to us.”
Sunyul gave a polite bow and headed toward the tents. Before entering his own tent, Sunyul quickly scanned the surroundings and nimbly turned his steps toward Muyoung’s tent.
“……Guild Leader.”
Entering the tent, he saw Muyoung holding a bundle of papers. Muyoung pushed the papers aside as he looked at Sunyul, who was hesitating at the tent entrance.
“Come here.”
Sunyul immediately went to the spot next to Muyoung. A giggle escaped him for no reason.
“Why were you two together?”
“Something came up that I had to say.”
“What words.”
“Be-because of that strange monster. We were talking about why that happened.”
Sunyul also thought of an excuse in his own way. While thinking… he decided to just speak honestly. Since he wasn’t good at lying anyway, and he didn’t want to deceive Muyoung.
“Even though it’s the first time for both of you?”
“……That’s also true.”
For Muyoung, it was nothing more than a half-hearted explanation. Because what Muyoung was curious about wasn’t the conversation they shared, but rather the reason they were stuck together.
Muyoung, who was debating whether to press further, simply swallowed his words with a sigh.
“Don’t stick together pointlessly.”
“Are you jealous?”
Sunyul asked cautiously. And then he stifled a laugh. He felt sorry toward the jealous Muyoung, but he felt a little good. Thinking that Muyoung also does things like feeling jealous.
Sunyul clung to the non-responding Muyoung with a thud. Muyoung, who was momentarily shaken by the weight of Sunyul clinging as if pushing with all his might, chose to fall backward instead of catching his balance.
Sunyul, who suddenly ended up lying on top of Muyoung, was flustered.
“You’re not heavy.”
Muyoung spoke as if he knew exactly what Sunyul was worried about. Sunyul blinked worriedly, then observed Muyoung’s expression and relaxed.
Sunyul slightly toyed with the body pinned beneath him. Usually, he didn’t have many chances to touch him, so he didn’t know well… but this felt quite good.
When he lightly pressed down on Muyoung’s well-trained chest just like that, he felt solid yet elastic muscles. His arms, which were of an entirely different thickness from his own, were also just as solid as his chest; when he touched the wrist area where there was less muscle, he realized the skeletal structure itself was naturally different from his own. And…….
Sunyul, who was absorbed in touching, rolled his eyes around.
“Guild Leader, um……”
“What.”
What do you mean ‘what.’ Muyoung’s thing had been poking Sunyul for a little while now. Sunyul reflected a bit, wondering if he had touched him too much.
“Do you want to do it?”
