Cecil’s expression hardened noticeably. Not missing the opportunity, Alexis pushed Cecil further.

“I’m certain you know the future.”

    “That is a ridiculous conjecture.”

“Then how are you going to explain it?”

“There’s nothing to explain, it’s all a coincidence.”

Cecil covered his face and muttered.

He knew what his expression must look like right now. He didn’t want to show it to Alexis in the slightest. He would surely give away how flustered he was.

Alexis looked down at him, then slowly pulled Cecil’s hands down from his face.

Even with their bare skin touching, he still couldn’t feel the aura of the goddess Gaia. Alexis was just as unable to understand it.

    “There’s no way it’s a coincidence.”

“Do you think I have some sort of divine power like Yuria?”

“Otherwise, do you think this is possible?”

“It would be more plausible to say I’m from the future.”

Cecil blurted out, feeling like he had nothing to lose.

That he had died once, come back to life, and now knew the future? Would Alexis even believe that? He would be lucky if he wasn’t locked up for being crazy.

But Alexis was still fiddling with Cecil’s wrists. As if trying to find some small clue, he kept rubbing his skin, and Cecil let out a small huff.

“Do you really think I have divine power?”

    “……”

“If you really want to check, shall I kiss you? What can you possibly find out by just fumbling with my hands?”

“You truly have a talent for pissing people off.”

I’m the one who’s pissed off. Why does he keep cornering me? I’m already on edge, worried that something might happen to Alexis, and instead of helping, he’s just provoking me.

Cecil shook off Alexis’s hands and roughly tousled his hair.

“Let’s end this conversation here. It’s a waste of time and energy. Your Highness is busy right now, too. Don’t waste your time on trivial fantasies…”

    “Let’s check.”

    “Pardon?”

“I said let’s check, if you’re so confident.”

He hadn’t expected Alexis to agree. Cecil was momentarily speechless with bewilderment, but he soon collected himself and stood up from the desk.

He had no such thing as divine power. Therefore, there was no way anything special would be felt just by kissing.

It was better to nip the suspicion in the bud. A kiss? What’s the big deal about that?

Cecil acted with even more confidence. He stood straight in front of Alexis, grabbed the nape of his neck, and pressed his own lips against his.

Their dry lips met, and flesh gently overlapped with flesh. Alexis didn’t make any move. He merely offered his own flesh to Cecil.

The moment their lips touched, Cecil felt like his heart was going to explode. No matter how much he told himself it was nothing, the person in front of him was Alexis, the man he loved. He tried his best to empty his mind and not be conscious of it.

But despite the half-hearted kiss, their lips grew moist. As saliva seeped into their lips, the flesh coiled more softly, sending an involuntary shiver through him.

Their wet lips parted with a soft smack. It felt like an eternity had passed, but in reality, barely a minute had gone by.

    “Hoo.”

Cecil pulled his head back and let out a short sigh. He felt as if he had completed some great task.

“Now you know, right? I don’t have any divine power, so now, please stop…”

    “Is that all?”

A dispassionate voice cut him off, and Cecil slowly raised his head. Alexis, who was staring down at him, was breathing evenly, as if nothing had just happened.

“What can be known from such child’s play?”

Child’s play! Cecil was at a loss for words. He had done his best, in his own way, but when Alexis belittled it, he didn’t know what to say.

“You should at least do enough for me to be convinced.”

Alexis grabbed the back of Cecil’s head. In an nstant, his blue eyes were right in front of him.

“Hold on tight to your senses.”

With those words, Alexis devoured Cecil’s lips. At the same time their lips clashed, a hot tongue invaded his mouth.

Unlike Cecil, who had only nibbled gently at his lips, the kiss led by Alexis was almost violent. Cecil truly understood what it felt like to be eaten alive.

It felt like his tongue was going to be pulled out, and his lips tingled. In the midst of it all, every time Alexis slowly licked the inside of his mouth, his fingertips and toes would go numb, and he couldn’t keep his wits about him.

    “Ugh, mmph!”

Every time he managed to breathe out, a nasal sound escaped. Cecil had no time to realize just how much he was feeling. He was just busy trying to take Alexis in.

Unable to hold on, Cecil stumbled backward.

Alexis, who he thought would break away after a brief moment, instead wrapped an arm around Cecil’s waist and pressed their upper bodies even closer. Just as their lips were sealed without a gap, their bodies also closed the distance.

Being pushed back, he soon found himself at the edge of the desk.

Cecil sat on a pile of messy papers, and Alexis placed both hands on the desk. The kiss showed no signs of ending.

Cecil needed something to hold onto. Without thinking, he wrapped his arms around Alexis’s neck, and he felt the corner of their joined lips lift slightly.

The deep kiss continued for a long while.

Their tongues tangled and untangled, and saliva mixed in their mouths. Their breaths grew so hot that their cheeks became flushed and damp.

Cecil forgot that he was supposed to push Alexis away and clung to him instead. Having obtained what he had longed for for so long, he lost all reason, and his vision went blank.

Alexis gently pushed his shoulder. Cecil, who was perched awkwardly on the desk, clung even more fiercely to his shoulders, afraid of falling backward.

That desperate gesture gave him a strange sense of satisfaction. Alexis felt an immense sense of fulfillment from Cecil’s reliance on him and willingly became his support.

The study was utterly silent, making the sound of them sucking on wet flesh seem particularly raw. At some point, it seemed they had forgotten their original purpose.

Alexis, who, like Cecil, was completely intoxicated by the kiss, belatedly tried to focus and heighten his senses.

It was impossible to feel anything. After this much, he should have detected even a thread of an aura. But this was just a hot contact. An incredibly pleasant one at that.

Alexis lowered his hand and fumbled around on the desk. When one of the papers Cecil hadn’t managed to throw away got caught on his fingers, he briefly opened his eyes to check it. He took the paper with Cecil’s meaningless scribbles and secretly tucked it into his pants pocket.

The check was now over, and there was no longer a pretext to continue the kiss. But Alexis couldn’t easily pull away.

Just a little longer, just for a moment more, he kept giving himself extensions, and before he knew it, he could feel that both his and Cecil’s lips were becoming swollen.

After a long time, Alexis finally pulled his face back and straightened his upper body. He could see Cecil, with his eyes closed, panting for breath. His flushed cheeks and the plump, slightly parted lips looked unspeakably sensual.

“You can’t even come to your senses. Did you like kissing me that much?”

    “…Yes.”

Cecil replied in a weak voice. He was so out of it that he didn’t even know what he was saying.

Belatedly, Cecil came to his senses and corrected his slumped posture. He saw Alexis, who was also chewing on his own swollen lips.

    He blinked slowly and asked.

“Have you confirmed it to your satisfaction?”

    “For now.”

He let out a long breath and messed up his hair. Somehow, Alexis looked even more troubled than when he had first entered the study to question Cecil. He thought that perhaps he was regretting his actions just now.

Cecil accepted it. It was an undeniable fact that both he and Alexis had been swept away by the atmosphere.

He wiped his wet lips and got off the desk. Cecil circled around and plopped down into his chair.

“Then I suppose you will not mention this matter again.”

    “…Is that all?”

“Is there anything else you would like to say?”

Cecil asked back, sinking deep into his chair. His face was unmistakably languid and flushed, but his tone was as detached as someone whose business was finished.

Alexis looked down at Cecil for a moment, then let out a hollow laugh.

“No, there isn’t. Just as you said, I’ll let it go this time.”

He left the study and started walking. Heading for the Saint Palace, Alexis immediately sought out Tristan. He gave him the note along with a secret request.

“These letters here, they need to be deciphered.”

    “Aren’t these just scribbles…?”

“If you look closely, there’s a pattern. It’s definitely a personally created code. If it’s difficult to decode, you may find an expert. For now… proceed with it in secret.”

“I understand. …However, Your Highness, have you perhaps caught a cold? Your face looks very red.”

At those words, Alexis placed the back of his hand on his cheek. His face was still hot, the heat not having fully dissipated.

He was in no position to say anything about Cecil’s face. He himself had a face flushed with excitement.

Alexis let out a long sigh and ran a hand up his face.

“Yes, it seems I’ve caught a nasty one.”
