TRIPLE 2
by twentyKang Hyunsik. A thug and loan shark commonly referred to as Chief Kang. In the story, he was one of the main antagonists who saddled the innocent protagonist with a massive debt and sold him off to the Alpha couple.
He was someone you should never associate with, as he was the type to starve the protagonist, hit him, and torment him with all sorts of terrible deeds.
“‘Ah,’ my foot. Aren’t you getting up right now? You lazy bastard. Do you have any idea how much trouble this hyung-nim went through today to find you?”
As Siyeon stared blankly at Chief Kang, Chief Kang, his face twisted into a snarl, grabbed Siyeon by the hair. His grip was so strong it felt like his scalp was about to be ripped right off, and Siyeon felt tears pricking his eyes.
“I told you to stay put. Why did you have to cause trouble on the very day I was supposed to meet an important client?”
“Ugh… ouch….”
“Don’t bother using your head, just follow me quietly.”
Chief Kang ground his teeth and hauled Siyeon up. No, he couldn’t be dragged off by Chief Kang like this. It was obvious that he would be sold to that couple after suffering all sorts of abuse, just like in the original work.
“W-wait a minute! Hyung-nim!”
He couldn’t end his life like this, being defeated by the wicked acts of a flat, paper-thin villain, so Siyeon decided to put up at least a small struggle.
“I’ll follow you quietly, so… before that… couldn’t you let me go to the bathroom first….”
“What kind of bullshit are you trying to pull now? Just do it little by little while we walk.”
“No! It’s a big one! Oh, my stomach…. My stomach is….”
At Siyeon’s enthusiastic performance of clutching his stomach and groaning, Chief Kang seemed unable to decide whether his words were true or false.
Seeing him narrowing his eyes and glaring, Siyeon thought he might buy it if he pushed a little harder. Siyeon seized the moment and began to moan loudly.
“I… I think I need to go to the bathroom right now…. If I soil my pants like this, it might be a bit awkward for you to be seen with me, wouldn’t it, Hyung-nim?”
“Damn it, what the hell is up with your stomach all of a sudden….”
Chief Kang cursed under his breath, his face crumpling as if he had encountered the most wretched situation possible. Siyeon moved his hand to his waist, as if to suggest he would do the deed right there if Chief Kang didn’t let go of his hair.
“Ugh… it’s coming! Hyung-nim, am I going now? Huh? Am I really going to do it here?”
“You, you bastard. Your face looks like you wouldn’t even go to the bathroom, but you’re sickeningly dirty.”
It was obvious he was up to something, but he seemed to be agonizing over what to do if it were real.
“Damn it all…. Fine, I’ll let you go, so hurry up and do it and come out within 5 minutes.”
As Siyeon continued to urge him, Chief Kang, after hesitating for a moment, had no choice but to allow him to go to the bathroom.
As expected, cliches are cliches for a reason. His excuse of needing to relieve himself worked perfectly. Since he had already secretly tucked away the 50,000 won bill without Chief Kang knowing, if the situation went south, he could just take a taxi.
Puffed up with the thought of escaping, Siyeon began looking for an exit in the back of the bathroom to slip away. He thought he could just escape through a bathroom window like in any movie or drama, but….
‘Damn it, no wonder he let me in so easily.’
He had thought an escape was a sure thing, but inside, there was only a small ventilation fan for air circulation. He was flustered by the situation being different from his expectations for a moment, but he wondered if he shouldn’t just try to overcome this obstacle with whatever he had at hand.
Siyeon shouted for a “Status Window” or “Ability Window” with all his might. He looked around, tensed up, but as expected, there was no change. Even when he tried a few more times by changing the combinations of words just in case, the result was… not great.
Standing against the wall of a public restroom and chanting things like a spell all by himself just made him feel embarrassed.
‘Forget it. If I give up here, I’m not Hong Siyeon.’
How could someone from an orphanage with no connections have adapted to society so easily? Siyeon had also had his fair share of experiencing unreasonable things and harassment for no reason, just as much as the protagonist. In fact, most of his life had been a series of hardships.
In the crappy orphanage.
When he first entered school.
And even when he was kicked out of high school regardless of his own will.
Bang—!
Determined to do something, Siyeon kicked open the cleaning supply closet that had been firmly shut. He wondered how such power could come from his frail legs, but since he was in a rush, even the impossible seemed possible.
“Found it! With at least this….”
Siyeon picked up a damp mop. After dipping it in the toilet water a couple of times and gripping it with both hands, his fluttering heart seemed to calm down at the thought that he now had a weapon.
‘Since it’s come to this… it’s all or nothing.’
It’s an extreme novel anyway, so who cares? To deal with crazy bastards, he had no choice but to become an even crazier bastard. Having made up his mind, Siyeon ran out of the bathroom without hesitation.
Naturally, his target was Chief Kang, who was standing in front of him with a crooked posture.
“Get lost, you thug bastard!”
“Ugh, you little… Urgh!”
The size difference was significant, but in a street fight, the one who lands the first hit always gains the upper hand. Since this was a truth he had learned through experience, Siyeon began to beat Chief Kang with all his might.
Thwack— Bang!
When he struck him in the face with the mop, which was soaked through with toilet water, Chief Kang lost his balance and staggered.
“Where is there a moron who would follow a guy like you obediently!”
“Ugh… Urgh!”
While Chief Kang was floundering, Siyeon kicked him squarely in his center, and he could see the man’s massive frame collapsing.
It was an action lacking in ethics as a fellow man, but what could he do? It was an entirely disadvantageous situation, so now was not the time to be picky about means or methods.
Confirming that Chief Kang had fallen, Siyeon threw the mop aside and began to run for his life immediately.
“Just try and come catch me! Next time, I’ll burst both your balls!”
Of course, he didn’t forget to throw a brutal warning at the end.
‘First, I have to get out of here. As quickly as possible….’
He had struck Chief Kang in a vital spot, but he didn’t know when he would come to his senses and start tracking him. He had hoped to catch a taxi outside the terminal, but perhaps the timing was off, as he couldn’t see any suitable cars to hail.
“Damn it! Hong Siyeon! You little shit, you’re dead if I catch you!”
Sure enough. While he was hesitating for a moment, he could see Chief Kang limping along in the distance, following him. It seemed the pain from being struck in a vital spot by him hadn’t faded for Chief Kang.
Because of his stumbling, his speed wasn’t fast, but seeing as he was trying to get into a car, it was only a matter of time before he was caught. Becoming desperate, Siyeon rushed out of the terminal and began running frantically on the road.
“Haa… ha…. No, if I get caught here….”
But no matter how much he ran, there was nowhere to hide his body. Since it was an eight-lane road, it seemed he would have to risk his life to cross to the other side.
In the meantime, he saw a van that looked like Chief Kang’s vehicle make a U-turn out of the terminal, so Siyeon had to make a decision.
Keep running in place and get caught by Chief Kang. Or close his eyes tight and cross the road to the other side. Needless to say, the method Siyeon chose was the latter.
“Damn, what sin did I commit in my past life!”
Siyeon waited for a moment when there were few cars and started crossing the road carefully. It was a series of dangerous moments, but he had luckily made it about halfway across.
The moment he lifted his foot to cross the remaining half, he felt a noisy horn pierce his eardrums and saw lights flashing.
Pwaaaaaang—
‘No… if this keeps up!’
Siyeon’s legs gave out, and he fell backward onto his butt. Should he have just followed Chief Kang obediently instead of dying a pointless death? He should have at least taken a look at the faces of the Alpha couple, who were the root cause of all this, before ending up like this.
Looking at the flickering lights, all sorts of thoughts flashed through his mind like a revolving lantern.
Just as he thought he was going to die like this, like a novel tagged with ‘#extreme,’ a car stopped right in front of his nose with a loud screeching of tires.
“Are you crazy? It’s not like you’re dying to die!”
A man who looked aghast stepped out of the driver’s seat. He was rampaging in a rage, looking as if he had lost his mind because he was so shocked by Siyeon, who had suddenly jumped out.
Since the fault was on his side, he wanted to apologize, but Siyeon was also so shocked that he couldn’t even part his lips.
Just when he was gasping for air, feeling as if his heart was about to pop out of his mouth, the man who had stepped out of the car after the driver stopped him.
“Wait, let’s check his condition first.”
The man who had stepped out of the large van after the driver was tall enough to stand out even from a distance. Even in the dead of night, the sight of him wearing sunglasses and a cap pulled low felt extremely suspicious.
‘What kind of guy is that?’
