Synopsis

Nile Giles works as an administrative assistant in a harbor city. He’s kind and friendly, which makes him popular. He’s neither the handsomest man in town nor the strongest, but if ten women gather, one or two of them are bound to like Nile.

One day, an old friend named Gerard visits Nile with a commission: to serve as the bed companion of the Grand Duke of Sirarund in the North, who suffers from a severe pathological aversion to touch.

They tell him that if he can pull off the commission, his enormous debts will be wiped out and he’ll gain his freedom—so Nile heads north. But the Duke gives him no opening to get close at all…
