Chi An has been troubled lately. He discovered that while love and a cough can actually be hidden, being a creep truly cannot.

He is 27 this year. A veterinary graduate, he turned down job offers, healed the eight body piercings he had gotten, and returned to the country with a dog in high spirits—all just to engineer a chance encounter with Liang Ce, the man he’s harbored a secret crush on for ten years.

On a heavy snowy day, Liang Ce wears a thin shirt—a 10/10 top-tier beauty who is practically as stylishly pretension-free as he is gorgeous. Chi An thinks: Good lord, I really have to treat my first love as a serious piece of business.

He pretends to be normal, pretends to be obedient, and even pretends to be drunk. Wrapping his arms around Liang Ce’s neck, he asks to go home with him, but Liang Ce merely gives him a gentle, lukewarm kiss on the forehead.

In the middle of the night, even though they’re in the same room, Liang Ce neatly tucks him into the blanket and goes out to the hallway to take client calls for two hours.

When they finally get together, Liang Ce doesn’t share his past, stays away from home when work gets busy, and even lies about never having been in a relationship—even though Chi An has been following Liang Ce’s ex-boyfriend for six years!

Chi An gets so angry he can’t keep up the act anymore. Pinching Liang Ce’s jaw, he spits out harsh words: “If you keep acting like this, I’ll go fall in love with your younger brother, dump him three times, and scam him out of a massive fortune so he won’t even dare to close his eyes on his deathbed out of fear of seeing me in his life flashing before his eyes!”

As a result, Liang Ce suddenly decides to use his mouth, sounding deeply aggrieved instead: “Why are you being so good to him?”
