Inferior Being

Seobin had lived his entire life as a rich family’s young master. One day, while diligently attending college, his family collapsed in an instant. Shortly after, his father died of acute alcoholism, and his mother fell into a coma.

As Seobin blankly held the funeral, a large shadow fell over his head. Looking up, a familiar face stood before him.

Gil Jaegyu. Once upon a time, he was the son of the housekeeper who worked at Seobin’s house.

Jaegyu, looking at Seobin with a strange gaze, handed over a thick condolence money envelope along with a business card. On the card, the company name was printed.

“If you need money, contact me.”

Were those words a curse? Or were they a prophecy?

Seobin soon found himself in need of a large sum of money. But obtaining money was no easy task, and in the end, he contacted Jaegyu.

“How much do you need?”

Unlike the bank that acted fastidiously, Jaegyu readily handed over a loan agreement. Seobin hesitantly wrote down the amount of money he needed on the contract. First 3,000,000 KRW, then 30,000,000 KRW, and after that, 300,000,000 KRW. The debt accumulated like that eventually reached 800,000,000 KRW.

The first month of repayment. Seobin, a college student, showed up with an amount far short of the repayment sum.

“I’m sorry.”

Expecting to be scolded, Seobin shrank his body as much as he could.

Suddenly, Jaegyu split the corners of his mouth wide into a grin.

“Wanna sell your body to me?”

…he asked.

Top (Gong): Gil Jaegyu, 33 years old

President of <Mae Capital> . To put it nicely, he is a president, but calling him a gangster wouldn’t be an understatement at all. He frequently gets covered in blood, has many scars on his body, and is covered all over in threatening tattoos. However, unlike common gangsters, he doesn’t drink or have sex and only smokes cigarettes. There is only one thing he desires: a young master he laid eyes on a few years ago. While desiring that young master, Jaegyu simultaneously feels a strange sense of inferiority toward him.

Bottom (Soo): Cha Seobin, 23 years old

A student at a prestigious university. With a wealthy family and excellent grades, his life was set on a smooth path, only to collapse in an instant. Yet he struggles tooth and nail to care for his comatose mother and his half-brother studying abroad, eventually reaching the point where he sells his body to Jaegyu due to a lack of money. Because of Jaegyu—who throws him into the mud pit even while helping him—there is never a day his tears dry. Despite seeming perfect with his elegant appearance and outstanding grades, a secret sense of inferiority exists within him as well.
